While most of the films start turning lukewarm at the ticket windows on its second weekend, Uri: The Surgical Strike derived an extraordinary Rs 7.66 crore to be named among the list of Hindi films that made significant money on their second Fridays. The film’s gargantuan earnings in its second week has tossed away 2016 released, Salman Khan-starrer Sultan (Rs 7.43 crore) in its second-Friday earnings.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, it’s a revenge film from the word go. From gun battles, hand to hand combat scenes to precisely planned drones. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Uri: The Surgical Strike features Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles.
The movie was released along Anupam Kher's political drama The Accidental Prime Minister but managed to hit the mark despite tough competition.
