The trailer of much-awaited Uri The Surgical Strike starring Vicky Kaushal was released on December 5. The lead actor on Tuesday shared a post on his Instagram handle and shared the day for releasing the trailer of the film. On a post shared on Tuesday he wrote, ‘A tribute to our brave Indian Armed Forces and to a new India. Uri trailer out tomorrow at 10 am’’. The trailer is receiving exceptional response from the audience and has already garnered more than 50,000 views on YouTube in just one hour of its release.

The two-and-half-minute trailer begins with a scene where it features how 19 unarmed Indian soldiers were martyred at the Uri Base Camp in Kashmir in the early hours of September 18, 2016. The attack was also called as ‘the deadliest attack in two decades’. The trailer also features veteran actor Paresh Rawal, who is playing the role of National Security Advisor of India, Ajit Doval.

He advises that it is time to teach Pakistan a lesson and make them taste their own medicine. He suggests that Indian Army should operate surgical strike. Vicky Kaushal could be seen leading the team od select Indian soldiers to operate surgical strike on Pakistan soil.

Helmed by Aditya Dhar, Uri The Surgical Strike features Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal in significant roles.

The movie is scheduled to release on January 19, 2019.
