Kalank opened to rave reviews on Wednesday, April 17. Although critics complain about the sloppy storyline, Varun Dhawan's performance as a fearless Zafar was much appreciated. The 31 year old actor who has his plate full with movies like Coolie No 1 remake, Street Dancer, Rannbhoomi in an interview said, he takes each movie as a challenge and is not scared of failure.
Taking about the challenges he faced while shooting for Kalank he sais, "It was really challenging as I had to do all the stunts by myself like going through a wringer, me banging myself against the wall and jumping off heights."

The 'October' actor in another interview has said how he asled for a body double for shooting the bull fight sequence but eneded up doing most parts by himself. A colosseum was built for the bullfight sequence in Mumbai and a portion was also shot in Kargil, where despite the biting cold, he had to go bare-bodied. He even got injured in the process.
The actor says experimenting with one's craft comes as a bigger risk.Â
"It's definitely a bigger risk because it is a different experience for me. I think that showing your experience is more important and reaching the audience is essential," added the actor,Â
But he prefers not to think much about failure.Â
"Failure and success come with every occupation and the film industry is no different. I believe that what goes around comes around. Bad things happen, followed by better things." said the actor.
Besides Varun, the Abhishek Varman-directed movie features Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Kunal Kemmu.Â
