Pakistani actress Veena Malik has finally broken her silence on her divorce case and stated that she has been through an abused marriage.
The diva stated that she was oppressed mentally and physically by businessman husband Asad Bashir Khan Khattak. Malik also reportedly admitted that she has no regrets for ending her marriage as this was the only option she was left with.
Veena Malik made this revelation during her interview on a Pakistani show.
"First, that he (Khattak) beat me; second, that he disrespected me... not once, but repeatedly," the Pakistani actress was quoted as saying.
Malik also stated that she took this decision considering the future of her two kids, who too have been bearing the torture of her abused marriage. In fact, she also asserted that Asad used to beat her in front of their kids.

It was reported that Veena Malik opted to walk out of the marriage owing to an argument with Asad over her comeback in showbiz industry.
There were also reports that she even married Khattak owing to his financial situation. However, Malik cleared the air saying that she had nothing to do with Asad's financial status.
Veena and Asad, who were married for three years, got divorced early this month.
Reportedly, the Pakistani actress had filed the divorce petition early this year and had been living separately from her husband.
On the other hand, Asad Khattak has been seen apologising to his lady love and hopes that they will reconcile soon.
