The upcoming movie Veere Di Wedding is one of the most talked about movies of the year. But this is not just about its unusual storyline, but also because Veere Di Wedding marks the return of Kareena Kapoor Khan as the yummy mummy.
The movie happens to be Kareena's first release post the birth of her son Taimur and the lady is quite excited to be back on the screen.
However, her journey to silver screen wouldn't have been this sassy and edgy if she didn't have Saif Ali Khan by her side.
During the trailer launch of Veere Di Wedding, Kareena revealed how she thought of quitting the movie due to pregnancy and even asked producer Rhea Kapoor to sign someone else for the role.
"I wasn't pregnant when I signed this film. I am lucky to have a husband who is so understanding. Apart from him, producer Rhea (Kapoor), stood by me. I had to call Rhea and tell her 'I am pregnant and she needs to take someone else'.
"It was Rhea's conviction. She was like 'let's just wait'. After that, it was Saif who kind of pushed me and said 'I think you should hit the gym and get back to the studio'. He said, 'take your son with you and set an example to other mothers'. I think it's been good till now. This journey has been beautiful," Kareena said at the trailer launch.
The trailer of Veere Di Wedding was released on Wednesday and has got rave reviews from the audience. The commendable camaraderie between leading ladies Kareena, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania has made everyone quite ecstatic for the release of the movie on June 1.
Talking about her future projects, the yummy mummy Kareena said, "I haven't thought about what I am going to do next. Taimur is 16-month-old and I am giving him time and will be promoting this film. Then I will decide what to do next but I promise to do one or two films a year".
