Legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who will celebrate his 94th birthday in December this year, has been diagnosed with mild pneumonia and advised rest at home.
"Saab was diagnosed with mild pneumonia. He's been advised to rest at home. Allah is kind that all other parameters are showing normal - Saab is doing better now. Pls remember him in your prayers and duas (sic)", tweeted actor's family friend Faisal Farooqui on his behalf.
Earlier, the actor was admitted to Lilavati Hospital due to a kidney ailment, dehydration and urinary tract infection. Later his health condition improved and he was taken back to his residence.
Dilip Kumar, who is known as the tragedy king of Bollywood, appeared gave Indian cinema some of the best remebered films like Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, and Ram Aur Shyam. He was honored with the Padma Vibhushan in 2015, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994, and the Padma Bhushan in 1991.
