Veteran actor and producer RN Sudarshan, who has acted in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi movies passed away on Friday at a Bengaluru hospital.
Aged 78, the senior artist was suffering from kidney-related problems for sometime now. Born on 2 May, 1939, Sudarshan was the son of filmmaker-actor R. Nagendra Rao and Ratnabai and had worked in more than 250 films in several languages.
In more than 60 films, he played the lead role and later on transformed himself as a supporting actor.He entered the industry as a protagonist in Vijayanagarada Veeraputra produced and directed by his father Nagendra Rao in 1961.
He has shared the screen space with all the legendary Kannada actors including Dr. Rajkumar, Udaykumar and Kalyankumar. He is also recognised as a famous playback singer and music lovers remember him for songs such as Hoovandu Balibandu and Irabeku, Irabeku and Ariyada among others.
