Shah Rukh Khan failed to cast his magic spell on the box office with his last venture, Zero and now here' s another disheartening news for his fans. URI actor Vicky Kaushal has replaced Shah Rukh, as per a report published by PeepingMoon.
Rumours were afloat that the 'Dead Zindagi' actor pulled out of the project citing reasons that all of his recent flops were helmed by directors with whom he has worked for the first time. Film’s producer Siddharth Roy Kapur however, has not many any official announcement regarding the same.
The producers of Saare Jahaan Se Accha, Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur zeroed on Vicky after his tremendously appreciated performance in Uri: The Surgical Strike that has already entered the 200 crore club and running successfully at theatres across the country even after a month of its release.
A source close to PeepingMoon said, Vicky, obviously couldn't refuse the offer as Ronnie has given him his career’s biggest commercial hit in Uri. Vicky has started preparing for his role in the film and the shoot will begin once his team has sorted his dates for the film.
Aamir Khan was the first choice of the producers to play the lead role in the space film. The movie is based on the life of Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to land on the moon.
The biopic is being directed by Mahesh Mathai, and if reports are to be true, then the sets are already being built in Mumbai’s Film City.
It will indeed be a delight for Vicky's fans to watch him don a spacesuit and land on the moon.
