PM Narendra Modi swearing-in ceremony on Thursday featured several big names from Bollywood and television industry popular comedian Kapil Sharma. Several videos have surfaced over the social media featuring Kapil Sharma socialising with other celebrities from Bollywood and television fraternity.
In one of the videos, he could be seen alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, Shahid Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Karan Johar and others. He was seen wearing a traditional in Orange colour Nehru jacket and white kurta.
PM Modi took the oath as the Prime Minister of India for the second consecutive term after achieving a land sliding victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
The ceremony was attended by around 8000 guests which included film personalities, industrialists, opposition leaders and others.
Few months back, Kapil Sharma met PM Modi at the inauguration of India’s first cinema museum in Mumbai. He tweeted and wrote "Respected pm Sh @narendramodi ji, it was nice meeting u n great knowing ur inspiring ideas and progressive views about our film industry and our nation. N sir I must say u have a great sense of humor too! regards (sic)’’.
In reply to which, PM Modi also tweeted "When @KapilSharmaK9 appreciates somebody's humour, it sure makes that person happy and I am no exception. Thank you for the kind words Kapil."
