It seems like the Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar controversy is not going to tone down any soon as reactions from some or the other celebrity keep surfacing every other day.
Currently, a video of Nana Patekar addressing media in 2008 after Tanushree Dutta’s sexual harassment allegations is doing rounds on social media.
During a media interaction, Nana is seen rubbishing Tanushree’s claims and calling the allegation as ‘sick’ and in bad taste. The veteran actor is seen referring to Tanushree as ‘bacchi’ and ‘beti’ during the press conference.
The actor refused all allegations levelled against him saying that it was Tanushree who had to woo me during the shoot sequence, not me! Watch the video here:
Since the issue again gained momentum 10 years later, the former Miss India has sought women commission's intervention days after she alleged that veteran actor Nana Patekar misbehaved with her.
The Chief of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) Vijaya Rahatkar, on Tuesday, has issued notices to actor Nana Patekar, his associate Rakesh Sarang, and choreographer Ganesh Acharya among others, on the basis of allegations of sexual harassment in a 2008 case, levelled by actor Tanushree Dutta.
Giving another edge to the controversy, Nana had dismissed all such allegations and slapped a legal notice to the actress, asking for an apology.
Soon after the incident took the social media by storm, a number of Bollywood personalities, including Farhan Akhtar, Kajol, Ayushmann Khurrana and Priyanka Chopra came out in support of Dutta.
