Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu has managed to win hearts of the audience with its amazing plot and terrific performance. The Suresh Triveni directorial has turned out be one of the sleeper hits of the year 2017.
Tumhari Sulu has joined the list of content based films like Newton and Hindi Medium, which have done wonders at the box office.
The slice-of-life comedy film started on a slow note but picked up pace within the first week. Vidya’s magic worked in favour of the movie as people flocked to the theatres to watch her acting.
The movie which also stars Manav Kaul and Neha Dhupia in key roles collected Rs. 1.40 crore on Sunday taking the total collection to Rs. 32.49 crore. Mouth-of-the-word publicity also helped the movie rake in good money at the box office.
Tumhari Sulu minted Rs. 19.78 crore in its first week while it collected Rs. 9.49 in second week. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of the movie on Twitter.

Vidya Balan simply nailed the role of Sulochana, a housewife based in Mumbai who becomes a RJ for a late night show. The beautiful actress has won the Star Screen Best Actress Award (Critics) for her brilliant performance.
The 'Paa' actress took to Instagram to thank the entire team.
Suresh Triveni and Neha Dhupia also ended up winning big at the recently held award function in Mumbai. While Suresh won the Best Debut Director Award, Neha received the award for the Best Supporting Actor.
