Sarkar starring superstar Vijay is headed towards breaking records of the Kollywood film industry and is hitting great at the box-office collection as well. AR Murugadoss directorial presents a story of an American man who comes across the fact that his vote has been cast by somebody else. The film has garnered mix reviews and stands with a Rs 200 crore worldwide box-office collection after Day 6.

Vijay-starrer is gaining popularity among the audiences with each passing day, despite a political backlash. Tamil Nadu’s ruling party members criticised the movie for showing state freebies being set on fire. Many protests erupted after the release. The fights further escalated as one of the female antagonist in the film is named Komalavalli, which was late chief minister Jayalalithaa’s actual name.
