Vinod Khanna's death: Not SRK's 'Dilwale', THIS is his last movie

Veteran actor Vinod Khanna died on Thursday after he lost his battle with bladder cancer. Indeed, his demise came as grave shock to everyone, after all Bollywood lost one of its shining star. The legendary actor has been a part of hundreds of movies in his career of over four decades including the current generation movies like 'Wanted', 'Dabangg' and 'Dabangg 2'.

In fact, it is also believed that Khanna's last big screen appearance was with Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dilwale' in 2015. However, this isn't true. Vinod Khanna's last movie isn't SRK's Dilwale, but Hema Malini's recent release 'Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi'. The movie was release on April 21 this year opposite Sonakshi Sinha's 'Noor', which had Vinod Khanna paired opposite Hema Mailini. The movie is said to be a biopic based on the late Jan Sangh-BJP leader and Rajmata of Gwalior, Vijayaraje Scindia. Hema Malini is scene essaying the role of Vijayaraje Scindia.

Interestingly, 'Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi' has saw the light of day after almost a decade of completion. The movie was completed in 2008, but was delayed owing to several reasons including lack of funds. While Hema Malini was quite excited about the release of the movie, Vinod Khanna has gave the premiere a miss owing to his health conditions.

Vinod Khanna breathed his last at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital on Thursday morning and was cremated the same evening at Banganga Crematorium in Worli.

"Vinod Khanna, who was admitted to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, breathed his last at 11.20 am due to advanced bladder carcinoma", read the statement from hospital.

He has been survived by his wife Kavita Khanna and sons Rahul, Akshaye and Sakshi, and daughter Shraddha.
