Ajith Kumar made his return to the silver screen nearly after two years with Siva’s directorial spy-thriller ‘Vivegam’. Despite receiving mixed reviews, Ajith’s starrer is performing extraordinary at the box-office.
Reportedly, Vivegam sacked Rs. 33.08 crore on its first day worldwide. The movie also went on to churn Rs 8.50 crore after second weekend in Chennai alone beating Rs 8.25 crore record of S S Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali 2’’.

Ajith’s starrer is the first Tamil film to enter Rs 100 crore club post the implementation of GST.
‘Vivegam’ was released on over 3,000 screens worldwide and received great response in advance bookings as well
After one weekend, ‘Vivegam’ surprised everyone by crossing Rs 100 crore in which Rs. 69.60 crore from India and Rs 36.50 crore from overseas.
In the movie, Ajith is playing a role of an Interpol Officer which is loosely based on the life of Ajay Kumar. The flick also features Kajal Aggarwal, Akshara Hassan and Vivek Oberoi in the lead roles.
Ajith and Siva has collaborated for the third time after Veeram and Vedhalam which wee also big commercial successes.
