Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Narendra Modi biopic gets another lead actor Darshan Kumaar

It’s officially the season of biopics in Bollywood. Over the last few years, we have seen many biopics being churned out from Bollywood and we also have few stellar biopics like Sanju, Soorma and Gold that got fans entertained last year. In 2019, a much-awaited biopic initiated titled PM Narendra Modi that has actor Vivek Oberoi all set to play Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Now, in a big development, actor Darshan Kumaar is reportedly a part of PM Narendra Modi. As the shooting is set to hit floors in 10 days, the recent news has it that Darshan will be enacting one of the main characters in the biopic.

Sharing the news on his Twitter handle, Indian film critic and analyst revealed, “Actor Darshan Kumaar joins the cast of #PMNarendraModi… Will be enacting one of the main characters in the biopic… Shoot begins in 10 days… Darshan’s third film with director Omung Kumar <#MaryKom, #Sarbjit>… Produced by Suresh Oberoi and Sandip Ssingh” (sic).

PM Narendra Modi will be Darshan Kumaar’s third union with director Omung Kumar. He has impressed fans with his stellar performance previously in Mary Kom and Sarbjit. This will be Darshan’s third project with the director.

Actor Vivek Oberoi is soaring high on the excitement with the biopic. “I am extremely fortunate. Today, I am feeling like I felt 16 years ago, during ‘Company’ days. I am feeling the same kind of excitement and hunger because this is the role of a lifetime for any actor. I truly believe at the end of the journey, I pray I become a better actor and a better human being,” the actor told PTI.

The film shooting is expected to kickstart soon in January.
