Actor Rakul Preet Singh says she is greedy as an artist and is keen to experiment with roles in Bollywood. Being an established star in the South film industry, Rakul, who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Aiyaary’, is looking at Hindi cinema as something that can show her versatility.

“I am not here to break any stereotypes. I loved the roles that I have done here. If you start living in perception, then you will never grow. I am not from this industry and I want people to see my versatility. It’s only when I choose to do roles with a variety, people will get to see a different me. In ‘De De Pyaar De’, they saw me as a girl-next-door but in ‘Marjaavaan’ I am different,” Rakul told PTI.

“I am never satisfied. Post ‘De De ...’ I have been spending time here (Bollywood) because in South I have explored that industry after doing 25 films and now I can be here and decide and also take my time to sign a film. The industry has been very warm and I have got a great response. I have signed four films and the announcements will come soon.

“I don’t want to settle for anything because if you make a mistake there is no one to blame too. I don’t have anyone here and I am not complaining about it but you have to be responsible for your decisions,” she said.

“The feel and look of that character were so different for me to bring in that versatility. Tabu and Rekha’s role was a brief role but we still talk about that so if people talk one per cent (about my part) I am happy.” The film, also starring Siddharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria, releases on November 15.

Rakul Preet Singh who will be next seen Marjaavaan has often been linked with Telegu star Rana Duggubati. The actress recently appeared at Sophie Choudry fitness show, Work It Up" where she bared about her love life and the kind of person she wants to be with.

Revealing about her relationship status Rakul Preet said "I have had no affairs because I think I've been too busy working. I'm single,"
On the qualities she looks for in a man, she said: "Frivolous nai chahiye, thoda sa dimag hona chahiye (I don't want him to be frivolous, he should have brains), and somebody who has drive in life. I'm somebody who cannot just do relationships for the heck of it. There has to be a meaning to it. Two people have to be compatible. I think somewhere, love has lost its meaning in today's time. I keep joking that I should have been born during the seventis!"

Questioned if she has "bro-zoned" any actor in the film industry, Rakul said: "No! No, please don't say this! I haven't. I just become the friend, which is not a good thing. I'm a f*ttu! I can't tell when someone is flirting, I can't flirt to save my life! My closest friends flirt for me on the phone! Firstly I rarely know how to flirt, then I'll get stuck somewhere."

When quizzed if she wants to date an actor, she said: "Ya! I mean it's not the profession, it's about the person that you are and if that actor is the same, why not?"

Then came the big revelation about dating Babubaali actor Rana Daggubati. To which Rakul said: "Oh My God! We're neighbours, not literally but 2 minutes away and we are a closest group of friends with Lakshmi Manchu who is also my best friend and Rana is also one of my closest friends like that you know? He's been a friend since I started my film journey. When I became friends with him, he was in a relationship so we became friends first and then you are the gang!"

Earlier in ‘feet Up with Telegu Stars’ Rakul Preet revealed, it has been a long time since she had a boyfriend and is on a lookout for the special one. “I am putting a board and roaming that I am single and searching for someone. Everyone thinks that there is a big line of people behind me and I must be in full tension," she said.
