Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s daughter Aaradhya recently made quite a splash as she turned in a sari with momma for her school’s annual day. Shah Rukh and Gauri apart from the Bachchan family to attended the function with his kiddo, AbRam all decked up in suits for his performance.
Aaradhya being great granddaughter of celebrated poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan took to stage to recite a powerful poem on girl child and its safety, a subject that is most relevant today especially after the sudden spurt of crimes against women. It goes something like this, "I am Kanya. I am the dream, the dream of the new age. We will awake, in the new world. A world where I will be safe. I will be loved, I will be respected. A world where my voice will not be silenced by the ignorance of arrogance but will be heard with an understanding of wisdom. A world where knowledge will come from the book of life, growing freely from the river of humanity.”
