Watch | Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya trailer: Alia says it's for third time she is playing bride on-screen

The much appreciated duo Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan launched the trailer of their upcoming film ‘Badrinath ki Dulhaniya’ amid fans and with their mentor cum friend Karan Johar in Mumbai.

Alia Bhatt wore a red traditional attire, keeping in mind her role in the movie, while Varun was wearing a Kurta and traditional jacket.

The film is a rom-com with added drama and spices.

Speaking about Alia as a bride, Varun Dhawan said, "I think Alia will make a good bahu as she is good with parents." And when Alia asked him, whether she will make a good wife, Varun teasingly answered, “I can’t say.”

Talking about his character, Varun told, "I'm very nervous. It feels like my first film. Badri is a very special character. I consumed a lot of alcohol during the film. This film has been more emotional than other films of mine."

Alia also spoke on her character. She said, "Vaidehi (her character in the film) is not a shy girl at all. She's domesticated, she'll make for a good bahu, like Varun mentioned earlier, but she's not shy at all - she's very outspoken." Shye added, "I'm the intelligent one in the film."

She told that it is for the third time that she is playing a bride on-screen, "This is the third time I am playing a bride. I think that's my spirit. Alia equals to dulhania."

The film is scheduled to release on March 10, 2017.
