Deepika Padukone, who visited Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) on Tuesday evening to meet teachers and students who were attacked by a masked mob is currently the most trending thing on internet. She became the first Bollywood celebs to personally visit JNU after the mob attack.

Now, BJP has released a video which features few B-Town celebs showing their support to the Citizenship (Amendment) Act. In the video, celebrities including Ranvir Shorey, Tanisha Mukherji, Shaan and director Anil Sharma.

It comes days after Union Minister Piyush Goyal and BJP vice president Baijayant Jay Panda hosted a dinner in Mumbai for several Bollywood celebrities to discuss the CAA.

The clip was captioned as "The Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 does not affect any Indian citizen. Watch what the artists have to say about CAA’’.

The video has been viewed more than 60,000 times and has garnered more than 8,000 likes on Twitter.

The celebs who attended the meeting include - Ritesh Sidhwani, Kunal Kohli, Rajkumar Santoshi, Anil Sharma, Ramesh Taurani, Rahul Rawail, Censor Board chief Prasoon Joshi, singers Shaan and Kailash Kher, composer Anu Malik, and actors Ranvir Shorey and Urvashi Rautela. Bhushan Kumar's denial has surprised many.

There were other celebs who were invited for the meeting such as Javed Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, Richa Chadha, Kabir Khan and Karan Johar. However, they decided to give it a miss."The agenda of the meeting will be to facilitate a discussion on myths and realities pertaining to the Citizenship Amendment Act," read the invite from Goyal and Panda.

The meeting took place around the time mayhem erupted at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) as masked attackers armed with sledgehammers and iron rods entered the campus and beat students and teachers.
