Well this year seems to be the year of doing experiment with the old songs. In the starting of the year, ‘Humma Humma’ song from old film Bombay, 1995 Mani Ratnam’s film, was picked up by Dharma Productions for innovation in Shaad Ali’s Ok Jaanu.
The ‘Tama Tama Again’ song picked up from 1990 film Thanedar has attracted many fans.
And now it is Kiara and Mustafa with the ‘Reinvented’ ‘Tu cheez badi hai mast’ in Abbas-Mustan’s upcoming romantic thriller, The Machine. The original song is from Rajiv Rai’s 1994 film Mohra.
Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar were seen in the original version, while the new version stars Kiara Advani and Abbas’ son Mustafa.
According to Times of India reports, Advani showed the new version first cut to Raveena Tandon and she loved the former’s performance, calling her ‘sweet, simple and sensual’. The two even performed the signature steps of the song together.
Akshay Kumar offered to launch the song when he came to know about the rehashing of the song.
