New Delhi :

Sara Ali Khan is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Abhishek Kapoor directorial venture ‘Kedarnath’ which is based on 2013 Uttarakhand floods.

Director Abhishek Kapoor recently wrapped up the first leg of shoot in Uttarakhand and now is all set for the second schedule and if sources are to be believed a huge set in Mumbai’s Film City has been constructed which costing a whopping amount to the producers.

A source revealed, “They have replicated the entire holy city at a whopping cost. A model of the Kedarnath temple has also been designed. Since the film is an inter-faith love story, set against the backdrop of the devastating Uttarakhand floods, the makers plan to shoot the flood sequences now. Hence, this will be the city that will go under the water. Huge water tankers, too, are going to be made available for the shoot’’.

Confirming the news of building such costliest set, source said, "Prernaa Arora and Abhishek Kapoor, who are co-producing the film, didn't want to compromise on their vision. Building the whole set has cost them a whopping Rs 7 crore. In recent times, this is one of the biggest sets that has been created’’.

The makers of the film shot major portions of first schedule in Kedarnath but could not shoot the flood scenes, as the environment around the temple is controlled by the authorities. This is the main reason behind re-creating huge set in Mumbai.
