After breaking up with Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra seems to have moved on and reportedly found love in Tara Sutaria. According to a leading daily, it was Sidharth and Tara's mentor Karan Johar who played Cupid, and they instantly hit it off "like whiskey and soda". The reports further suggest that the couple is taking things slow, as they want to focus on their careers at the moment.
"But, nothing intense. They are both busy building their careers. She's just starting out and he's looking to catch up with his contemporaries like Varun Dhawan and Vicky Kaushal who have raced far ahead. Distractions are the last thing he needs," an insider revealed to the daily.
Sidharth recently graced the infamous couch of Koffee With Karan and opened up about his break-up with Alia. "I don't think it is bitter. I think we haven't really met after that, to be honest. It's civil. It has been a while. It happens, it's like any other relationship. I have known her for much longer. I knew her from even before we were dating. So it's not like we met as girlfriend-boyfriend. I think it will remain... It's just a matter of us coming back, whether it is work or whether it is just socialising," he said.
When asked if it was difficult to put the break-up behind, Sidharth said, "No, I don't think so. It has been enough time. There is a reason why two people decide not to be together. There were lots of ups and downs."Both Sidharth and Alia made their Bollywood debut in Karan’s Student of The Year, which also starred Varun Dhawan. They reportedly started dating in 2016, but parted ways a year later.
On the work front, Sidharth is currently working with Parineeti Chopra for Jabariya Jodi. Tara Sutaria, on the other hand, is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Student Of The Year 2. The film also stars Tiger Shroff and Ananya Panday in prominent roles.
