Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan says motherhood will not slow her career down and she will continue to do one film at a time.
The 36-year-old star married Saif Ali Khan in 2012 and the couple welcomed their first child in December last year.
“Even after I got married it was always about doing one film at a time. I like to finish one film, take a break and then take up another film. Both Saif and I are trying to maintain that even after our baby is born,” Kareena told in an interview here.
When asked if there has been a change in selection of role post becoming a mother, the actress says, “I don’t think being a mother has anything to do with choosing a script at all. If you like a script you do it. These are two different things.
“Priorities change every time in life as first I got married... then I have a family. Multi-tasking is something I have always done and it is something women understand and learn to do.”
On the work front, she would be seen next in “Veere Di Wedding” which also features Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in the lead roles.
She will start shooting for the film from May. “There is no particular prep that I will have to do except hitting the gym and that’s the only focus,” she says, adding, she has been reading a lot of scripts but has not given a go ahead to any film.
When asked about being replaced by Parineeti Chopra in Rohit Shetty’s hit “Golmaal” franchise, Kareena says she could not sign “Golmaal 4” as she was not in the stage to begin a film before May.
