Zayn teaming up with TV producer Dick Wolf for "Boys"

Singer Zayn Malik is producing a boyband drama series of NBC network. The "Pillowtalk" hitmaker will serve as a producer for the show which mirrors his real-life experience as a former member of One Direction, reported Aceshowbiz. 

Zayn, 23, is teaming up with TV producer Dick Wolf for the project which is titled "Boys". "Dick Wolf is a legend and the opportunity to work with him and NBC to create a compelling drama series is awesome," Zayn said. It will capture "all the excitement, competition and fun, but also provides an inside look into the pressure that follows," he added.

NBC President Jennifer Salke said they are excited to collaborate with passionate people like Zayn and Wolf. "Zayn certainly brings an authentic point of view to this world where kids are catapulted into fame at a dizzying speed. On top of our excitement around the creative ideas being discussed, we have a lot of respect for the musical and digital ambitions behind the project," Salke said.
