Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero is for those who don’t fit in. But Shah Rukh Khan starrer is struggling to make its place at the ticket window this week. Blame it on the lacklustre script but immaculate acting by all the actors impressed all. Zero, however, is having a lagging run at the box office, despite extensive promotions and widest release in around 4,380 screens.
The film collected Rs 20.14 crore on its opening day. And on Saturday, it merely earned Rs 18.22 crore. The film witnessed a further dip on Sunday but gradually managed to cross the 50 crore mark. Film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted out Zero’s business on Day 3 of it’s release. “#Zero has clearly underperformed... Remained on similar levels over the weekend... No turnaround / big jump in biz... #Christmas holiday

After this turtle climb of the movie, Zero is expected to struggle to reach the 100 crore mark.
Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma-starrer Zero received mix reviews and the Netizens begun writing their reactions on social media. It seems like, SRK’s charm failed to work its magic on the box office.
The film was already dapped in infinitesimal pressure of hitting big at the box-office. Clocking around 3500 screens, trade analysts predicted a good opening collection for Zero, but ended up in disappointment.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Expected so much from this collaboration

Expected so much from this collaboration… Sadly, the flawed writing - especially the second hour - takes the film downhill... EPIC DISAPPOINTMENT... #ZeroReview pic.twitter.com/Hzo1oepata — taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) December 21, 2018
Although, Zero’s performance is better than Shah Rukh’s last release Jab Harry Met Sejal which earned Rs 15.25 crore on the day of its release.
The Aanand L Rai directorial is jointly produced by Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions.
