Gully Boy became one of the most successfull movies of the year and apart from Ranveer Singh as Murad, one character that caught everyon'e fancy was MC Sher played by Siddhant Chaturvedi.
His performance not just created a separate fanbase but even drew the attention of Amitabh Bachchan who congratulated him with a poem and flowers.
The audiences couldn't get enough of his brief apperance and wanted to know more about MC Sher in the film. Well, if the reports are to be believed, people will soon get to know more Sher. As reported by Mumbai Mirror, producer Ritesh Sidhwani and Zoya Akhtar are planning to make a spin-off on Mc Sher's character
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film starred Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. MC Sher aka Siddhant nailed his performance to the T. He was a supportive friend, a guide and a wave of positive energy in the film.
A source informed the tabloid that the film will be entirely based on MC Sher's journey on how he became a hero. The source mentioned that this spin-off will also give the makers a chance to delve deeper into the hip-hop culture. Also, the film is said to have some more rap battles as we saw in Gully Boy this year.
Well, if it's true, we can't wait for a film based on MC Sher's character.
The movie entereted Rs 100 crore club on the eight day of its release. Gully Boy became Ranveer’s second highest opener after after Simmba that opened at Rs 20 crore. It also became Alia’s highest opening film; her last Raazi was her biggest blockbuster before that.
The movie was recieved well amidst loud cheers at the Berlin International Film Festival and also got a thumbs up from Hollywood actor Will Smith.
