It's ok to have dual reactions, says Ritesh Shah over 'Madaari'

Irrfan Khan starrer 'Madaari', which was released in theaters on July 22 this year, came to mixed reactions from both audiences and the reviewers. Ritesh Shah, the man behind punchy dialogues in 'Madaari', spoke exclusively to News Nation and shared his experience with the film.

"Reactions to Madaari were dual. Some said dialogues were brilliant and gave five out of five, while others claimed it to be Gareebo ki A Wednesday. It's ok to have dual reactions because perception varies with respect to age," said Ritesh Shah in an exclusive telephonic interview.

"Older people tend to stay more on emotional front but younger generation wants to have more of intellectual punches around them," he added.

Film released amid several perceptions - some called it a classic movie while rest didn't come up with much of appreciation. Ritesh Shah raised the curtain to explain what Madaari really tried to project as a film.

"Madaari was a common man kind of a fantasy or wish fulfillment," says Ritesh Shah.

"It was a differently layered film. There is no deep meaning in the movie just because Irrfan Khan stars in it. Madaari is actually a movie which tries to depict the helplessness of a common man," adds Ritesh.

On asking about his dream project which he wants to keep on top of his priority list, he claimed all the writers come with a common dream.

"A writes always go for an elusive thing and targets it to receive mass appreciation. Every writer dreams of writing a perfect movie," said Ritesh.

Ritesh Shah is an Indian writer best known for his work in movies like Airlift (2016),  D-Day (2013) and Kahaani (2012). He is currently working on upcoming movie Pink, which starres Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.

Pink is likely to hit the silver screens on September 16, 2016.
