“It does not make sense to do a small role under a big movie banner. Avni (the character played by Kritika) is an important pillar of the film. It is her journey also. I need my time and space on the screen to explore the character and give a justification for my role. Mitron gave me this opportunity to showcase the versatility in me as an actor,” Kritika says.

The film Mitron revolves around the story of a group of friends who try to achieve something big, while Avni (Kritika) remains a guiding force of the group. The movie depicts a powerful female role and Kritika thinks that it is important to understand that this is not feminism. According to the actor feminism is not supporting women, but supporting equality.

“Feminism is not wearing certain kind of clothes, or talking in a certain manner, but it is about equality. The word has lost its translation from the original meaning and I do not believe in people who say they do not follow feminism. Feminism is naturally inherited if you support equality. They are the two sides of one coin,” adds the ‘Mitron’ actor.

While the actor looks forward to her debut film release, she describes herself as a "greedy actor" and suggests that she has never completely closed doors for television and other mediums of acting.

Kritika feels that there are many more areas unexplored. “I am a greedy actor. I have never closed the doors to television, but now if am to go back to the medium, television has to raise its bar. In fact, not only television, I would love to work on any web or Netflix series too!”

Mitron’ stars Jackky Bhagnani, Kritika Kamra, Pratik Gandhi, Neeraj Sood, and Shivam Parekh. The film, produced by Vikram Malhotra, is riding high on the promotions.
