Alia Bhatt To Walk Out Of Rajamouli’s Magnum Opus RRR?

Alia Bhatt has her plate full of plum Bollywood projects and hence might give one of the filmmakers in her checklist a miss for the time being. Latest reports suggest the Coronavirus outbreak has cost Alia her part in SS Rajamouli’s RRR. Alia was supposed to shoot for the film in Hyderabad, Gujarat, and Pune earlier this month. However, due to Covid-19 scare, the shoot got postponed. Now Alia has already blocked rest of her dates for other films and is not able to find spare dates for the period drama.

Sources say that Rajamouli is constantly in touch with Alia Bhatt's manager and has been trying to get her dates for the May schedule. Meanwhile, Ali ai simultaneously working on Sadak 2, Brahmastra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi,

This news comes, a few days after DVV Danayya interview to a leading daily in which he brushed off the rumours stating that Alia Bhatt will join the sets of the film in May. He said, "Alia Bhatt has allocated her call sheets for our film and will join the sets in May. The film is shaping up well and we have already completed about 75 percent of the shoot."

Alia was being paid whopping Rs 9 crore for a cameo in the film that will be mounted on a budget equivalent to Baahubali: The Conclusion.

Recollecting her chance encounter with Rajamouli, Alia reveals, "I had bumped into Rajamouli sir at an airport and I begged him that whatever part he has (for me) I will do it. That time he had not casted for the girl yet.

"He said he was anyway talking about my timelines. So I told him whatever be the timelines, I will make it happen. We made it happen."

The film stars N T Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan Teja in the lead and Ajay Devgn in a cameo appearance. I

RRR tells a fictional story about two revolutionary freedom fighters Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR, respectively. The makers of the film are planning to release it in January 2021.
