A new ‘swept-under-the-rug’ gossip suggests that Madhuri Dixit is said to have walked out of project with Tahira Kashyap over fee dispute. Making a comeback to the big screens despite battling cancer then, earlier reports said that Tahira was all set to direct her first feature film titled, ‘Sharmaji Ki Beti’ which was to be produced by Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar and was to star Madhuri Dixit and Saiyami Kher.
A new development on the film by Deccan Chronicle however, suggests that the project has been delayed as Madhuri Dixit, one of the leading ladies has walked out of the project over fee dispute. The report by the news portal said that Dixit asked for a fee which the producers could not afford to give her. The report further added that Dixit chose to say ‘no’ to the project instead of compromising on the numbers.
Last year, Tahira announced that she is all set to make her first feature film with tentatively titled Sharma Ji Ki Beti,
“This is about women, and we are going to keep it at that for now. I don’t want to reveal much about the film, it’s too early. There is no determined time period for when we will start this project. But I am looking to start this at the earliest’’ she said of the project.
Producer Atul Kasbekar also took to his Instagram account to confirm the project with Tahira by sharing a selfie with her with the caption,
“In the production office with @tahirakashyap the director of our next motion picture. She’s been showing off her new hairdo all day long ????????????????????.Brave and talented lady. Has been a woman of action long before she finally shouts the word from behind the camera”.
