Bipasha Basu’s latest appreance for a Diwali bash after being away from the shutterbugs for some time did not go down without speculations. Making a special appreance with husband Karan Singh Grover dolled in gorgeous, soft green pastel lehenga , the actor made a head-turning entry in traditional attires at producer Ramesh Taurani's Diwali bash. While the Grovers look ravishingly gorgeous in Indian attires, fans were also quick to speculate that ‘Race’ actor who has been married for three years now may be pregnant.
Dropping congratulatory notes fans wasted no time to drop a ‘pregnant’ comment. With eyes glued on the stars about when they will embrace parenthood, Basu previously had also quashed rumours that suggested that the stars might be pregnant when Basu was seen visiting a hospital with Grover.
Dismissing gossips that the purpose of the visit could be related to her pregnancy which later turned out to be a visit to the hospital to treat Karan, Basu told HT,
"This is ridiculous; it's a sad thing for women. I know that having a baby is a wonderful feeling, but there's a lot more to a woman. Just because you're married, you don't have to have a baby," adding that, "Every celebrity is an individual, so they should stand up for themselves. Most of the times, rumors don't bother me and when they do, I take them on, in a straightforward way."
As for when Basu would embrace motherhood, the actor said, “We love babies. But both of us need more alone time together because once the baby arrives, it’s always only baby time. That’s the way we both think”. She had further gone on to add, “My mom is very keen to have a granddaughter soon”.
