Salman Khan is in look out of new ideas for franchise movies series. After the Dabangg 3 debacle, looks like the actor turned producer is in search of a full proof formula that works at the box office and his hunt ended with Indiana Jones, the popular American action series. If reports are to be believed, the actor is soon coming up with a three-part franchise with Dr. Henry Walton’s adventures as a reference point.

Action and romance has always been Salman’s forte and his movies always try to establish a fine blend between the two. Taking lessons from the success of Bharat, Prem Ratan Dhan payo that were adapted from Korean movies, An Ode to my Father and Masquerede, Salman is all set to extend his lineage of massy entertainers with a Bollywood remake of adventures of Indiana Jones.Going by his recent releases, when you walk into the theatre for a Salman film, two things that always work for him are- high octane action and romantic dialogues.

The reports by Mumbai mirror further suggest that the film will draw inspiration from the American series but will not be a direct adaptation. While Harrison Ford is seen as a professor of archaeology who is an adventure freak, Salman's character and profession will be altered in the film. The other pivotal characters in Salman’s edition of Indiana Jones will be moderate according to the requirements of the script as well. However, his brand-new character will bear no resemblance with any of his trademark characters such as Chulbul Panday from Dabangg, Radhe from Wanted, Tiger from Tiger Zinda Hai and others.

He will be seen leading a parallel life, one of them showing his adventurous side to break the monotony of his daily life. The film is expected to go on floors later this year.

Remakes of popular Hollywood projects is not a new concept in Bollywood, Aamir Khan is adapting Tom Hank’s Academy Award Winning classic, Forrest Gump as Laal Singh Chadha. Sushant Singh rajput’s ‘Dil Bechara’ is a Bollywood adaptation of ‘Fault In Our Stars’

Salman, meanwhile, is juggling with three other projects, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai that will open at theatres in Eid 2020, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and Kick 2.
