The musical drama, which is a remake of the 1973 film of the same name, which also happened to be Bradley's directorial debut has received flocks of praises and awards. With eight nominations including Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress waiting for the 91st Academy Awards, the nominations just do the talking for the Lady Gaga-Bradley Cooper starrer.
Last year, Gaga and Cooper had also hinted at their wanting to perform their original at the Oscars. Sitting down with Variety, Cooper said “We talked about that actually, because I’m such a maniac,”. “I started texting [Gaga] the whole pitch of how we should do it. So we’ll see. There might be a cool, unorthodox way we could perform it.”
Shallow features music and lyrics by Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt.
The Oscars will be held this February 24.
