Margot Robbie fans hold your breath because Suicide Squad spin-off titled Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), has officially been announced. Remember when Suicide Squad ended, Warner Bros’ talked about the follow-up to Suicide Squad was going to be a Harley Quinn solo movie? Well, Margot Robbie remembers, and the news of the offshoot of the delirious yet attractive character, has been confirmed both by Margot and The Hollywood Reporter. Warner Bros Picture also confirmed the spin-off's title and release date on Twitter. "@MargotRobbie #BirdsofPrey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn) hits theatres 2.7.20 (sic)," read a tweet from the studio.

The Cathy Yan-directed flick also has finally been dealt a release date. Alongside DC’s Harley Quinn's character, Mary Elizabeth as Huntreess and Jurneee Smollet-Bell as Black Canary will also be seen. Ewan McGregor will be seen taking on the role of the villainous Black Mask. 

The 28-year-old actor shared the news on Instagram where she posted the title page of Christina Hodson's script for Birds of Prey, which includes a handwritten addition, revealing the full name of the feature. Robbie is reprising her Suicide Squad role of Harley Quinn while actor Ewan McGregor recently joined the cast as the villain, Black Mask.

The title of the movie is already fairly obvious and fans are getting the clue that the movie will still focus on Harley Quinn dealing with the aftermath of Suicide Squad—namely, the  Joker more or less leaving her to die and or/be captured by Batman while he escaped.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will follow Harley Quinn as she "assembles a girl gang of friends to take on a bad guy".
The film will be co-produced by Robbie along with Sue Kroll and Bryan Unkeless.
