Know which role to be played by this '13 Reasons Why' star was removed from Avengers: Endgame

Last year, Disney and Marvel Studios announced that 13 Reasons Why actor Katherine Langford would have a cast in “Avengers: Endgame’’. This announcement was however sealed off because those who have seen Avengers: Endgame would know that the 23-year-old actress did not feature anywhere during the blockbuster’s three-hour runtime,  making us question why.

Reports now have it that that Langford’s appearance from the MCU film was scrapped by directors Joe and Anthony Russo. In an interview with MTV podcast ‘’Happy Sad Confused’’, the Russo Brothers reveal why Langford who was supposed to play an older version of Tony Stark’s daughter, Morgan, who he encounters in the future was removed from Endgame.

“There was an idea that we had that Tony was going to go into the metaphysical waystation that Thanos goes into when he snapped his fingers ,” Joe Russo said. There was going to be a future version of daughter in that way-station. We showed it to a test audience and it was really confusing for them.”

 “What we realized about it was that we didn’t feel an emotional association with the adult version of his daughter. It wasn’t resonating with us on an emotional level, which is why we moved away from it. The intention was that his future daughter forgave him and gave him peace to go’’ Anthony Russo added.

“Avengers: Endgame”, which is playing in theatres nationwide became only the fifth film to gross $2 billion worldwide in just 11 days of its release.
