A Star Is Born starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga is all set for a world premiere at the Venice Film Festival 2018.
The musical romantic drama film will be screened out-of-competition at the 75th edition of the festival, the organisers said in a statement.
The premiere screening of the film, which marks Cooper’s directorial debut, will be held on August 31 in the Palazzo del Cinema on the Lido. Cooper has also scripted the screenplay alongside Will Fetters and Eric Roth.
A Star Is Born is a remake of the 1937 film of the same name. Also starring Dave Chappelle and Sam Elliott, the story is about a hard-drinking country musician (Cooper) who falls in love with a young singer (Gaga).
Both the actors have performed original songs for the film, which also features collaboration with artistes like Lukas Nelson, Jason Isbell and Mark Ronson.
This year's Venice International Film Festival will take place from August 29 to September 8.
