Johnny Depp and ex wife Amber Heard ongoing lawsuit charges against each other is likely not dying down anytime soon. In response to Depp’s %50 million defamation lawsuit against Heard last month where Depp alleges that he was the one that suffered abuse in the hand of Heard, Heard is now reported to have come up with new details that shows the abuse she experienced while married to Depp in a new court filing.
In her court filing in the Circuit Court of Fairfax, Virginia, PEOPLE reports that the Aquaman actress claims Depp repeatedly hit her, ripped out her hair and even choked her.
According to The Telegraph, in the new court filing, Heard is reported to have exhibit photos of her with bruises on her face and scars on her arms and new screenshots of text messages describing the incidents at the time, and excerpts of her divorce deposition describing domestic abuse.
"Johnny Depp physically and verbally abused Amber Heard," her attorney Eric George said in a statement. "Since their divorce, Mr. Depp has continued to publically harass Ms. Heard, and attempted to gaslight the world by denying his abuse. It is long past time for Mr. Depp's despicable conduct to end."
According to The PEOPLE Depp has previously denied all of Heard’s previous allegations of domestic violence, saying in his defamation lawsuit that he “never abused Ms. Heard. Her allegations against him were false when they were made in 2016. They were part of an elaborate hoax to generate positive publicity for Ms. Heard and advance her career.”
In response, Heard’s rep said in a statement: “This frivolous action is just the latest of Johnny Depp’s repeated efforts to silence Amber Heard. She will not be silenced. Mr. Depp’s actions prove he is unable to accept the truth of his ongoing abusive behavior. But while he appears hell-bent on achieving self-destruction, we will prevail in defeating this groundless lawsuit and ending the continued vile harassment of my client by Mr. Depp and his legal team.”
Depp's lawsuit, filed last month, called the ongoing allegations of domestic abuse by ex-wife Amber Heard "categorically and demonstrably false."
