Aquaman, since his first cameo appearance in Batman Vs Superman, Dawn of Justice had fans wishing for the Atlantean to have his own spin-off alone. With Aquaman to release this December, fans wish of watching a whole lot of the DC character played by Jason Momoa came true. In fact, the hype about his character is so much that there have even been talks about its next sequel even before the movie hit the big screen.
Following the extolling reviews by movie critics, good pocket-filling profit and a good watch for fans, Warner Bros studios are already planning a sequel of the film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the DC film is looking at earning a whopping $65 million in its domestic debut and surpass Mary Poppins Returns and Transformers spin-off Bumblebee collections.

This impressive number climb is giving Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich enough confidence to begin talks on a sequel. However, no writer has been commissioned for the follow-up of the Aquaman franchise yet. Directed by James Wan, the movie is scheduled to hit the theatres in the US on December 21st preceding its India release by a week.
Aquaman also stars Amber Heard as Mira the mermaid, the underwater Atlanteans will also see other popular Hollywood faces like Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II among others.
