Aquaman starring Jason Momoa becomes the highest-grossing DC extended Universe movie of all time. Making 940.7 million dollars worldwide since its release, it looks like the fantasy movie of the Atlanteans has also dethroned the land-settlers. Released on December 14, the latest feature film from DC stars Jason Momoa as the titular superhero as well as Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Dolph Lundgren and Willem Dafoe. It has beaten the title of highest-grossing DC film from 2016’s Batman v Superman – which bagged $873 million (£686 million) during its cinema outing.
In other news, there are also rumours that development of Aquaman 2 is in talks. During an interview with Amber Heard aka Mera, The Hollywood Reporters, claimed that Warner Bros are already planning the sequel, as they were confident over the success of the first film.
