Armie Hammer reportedly in ‘final talks’ to take over Ben Affleck’s DC role as Batman

The hunt for the new Batman might finally have been over! And yes, the new rumoured Batman much, to everyone’s surprise, is surely not a disappointment! After rumours surfaced that Ben Affleck is exiting his role as Batman that made fan theories suggesting stars such as Robert Pattinson, Nick Jonas as the likely candidates, the possible Batman will completely take you off guard. Meet Armie Hammer, the star who is reportedly in ‘final talks’ with Matt Reeves for the 2021 Batman role.

Although the casting of the DC role is yet to be confirmed, it seems that Hammer has history as the caped crusader. The Man from U.N.C.L.E star was previously lined up to play Bruce Wayne and his vigilante alter-ego in George Miller’s Justice League: Mortal, before the project ultimately collapsed back in 2007.

And with Affleck officially announcing in the Jimmy Kimmel Live talks about his departure for the much-loved DC character, the possibility of Armie Hammer taking on over the role seems very probable. Affleck on his exit as Batman had, ‘’I tried to direct a version of it and worked with a really good screenwriter, but just couldn’t come up with a version – I couldn’t crack it.

The rumours of Armie Hammer are however yet to be confirmed.
