Avengers: The Endgame is on its way to becoming the highest grosser film ever. If you are still living under the glass roof of fantasy movies and and reeling with a heavy heart that the Avenger series has come to an end, here is a shocker for you. The highest grosser Hollywood movie, Avatar's sequel has got a new release date.
The movie will be postponed by one more year that its scheduled date. The movie which happens to be a sequel to Avatar which was released in the year 2009, was initially scheduled to be released on December 18, 2020.
But now, Disney has pushed back the release date to December 17, 2021. The additional sequels of the movie have also been pushed back.
The first movie Avatar which was released way back in the year 2009 happened to be the highest grossing movie of all times.
Director James Cameron who will be returning back as the director of the sequel of this much loved movie has earlier said he will push the limits, including potentially making 3D easier to view for the sequels. The director says he plans to use all the tools at his disposal to make the sequels special, including one that we don't quite have yet.
Sam Worthington, who portrays the role of Jake Sully in the first 'Avatar', has revealed that the story of its sequel will project the time lapse and pick up eight years after the first movie.
Other than the sequel of Avatar, Disney has also scheduled three untitled Star Wars movies for the years 2022, 2024 and 2026.
