Jeremy Renner the Hawkeye in Avengers:Endgame answers why he went underground in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. For those planning to hit the theatres for Endgame do some homework specially for Marvel freshies who have not seen the 21 preceding films because some of the movies such as Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, The Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War will bridge you through Endgame. Marvel fans who are wholly updated with the 22 MCU films will, without a doubt know the obvious ‘missing’ of Hawkeye in Infinity War and at one point of time must have also asked why?

Renner, now has the answer for Marvel fans. Sitting down with Variety for the second episode of The Big Ticket, Hawkeye answer, “I think it ultimately had to do with the storytelling of it all,”. “You leave it to the Russo brothers to make those decisions’’ he adds.

The actor also added another reason as to why he was missing that had nothing to do with the Russo Brothers’ decision, “I wanted a vacation,” Renner cracked. “I had stuff to do, man. Take a break’’ the outgoing actor adds.

Renner who is back for Avengers: Endgame further adds that he still isn’t exactly used to the fame and visibility that has come with being a part of the “Avengers’ franchise.

“You’re on a Cheerios box all of a sudden,” he said. “I remember when I was a kid growing up in the ’70s, a Wheaties box, if you got on that was like, ‘Wow, you’re like a big sports star or something’’ Adding some more humour to the fame and attention the movie has received, he added “I’m on underwear, too.”

Avengers: Endgame which opened across 2,845 theatres on 26 April opened enormously with a record Rs 1,186 crore earnings worldwide with over 53 crores from India alone on its first day.
