Disney's fairytale adaptation 'Beauty and the Beast' had an amazing win at the MTV Movie and TV Awards 2017. The movie was named Movie of The Year, starring Emma Watson.

The movie beats other big nominees on the row including Logan, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Get Out and The Edge of Seventeen.

Bill Condon, the director of the movie was overwhelmed by his achievement says, "Thank you to the audience who embraced this movie somuch, but especially thank you to the women because women have proven that they're a huge and powerful audience, and it's gonna change the movie business."

Emma Watson the lead of the movie bagged the combined Best Actor award by beating other leading actors like Hailee Steinfeld, Daniel Kaluuya, Hugh Jackman and Taraji P Henson.

Hugh Jackman was awarded in the Best Duo category alongwith with his young so star, Dafne Keen.

Hidden Figures and the Fate of the Furious won the Best Fight Against the System and the Generation Award respectively.

The eighth "Fast and Furious" movie co-stars Vin Diesel,Tyrese Gibson and Jordana Brewster took the stage to accept the award.
