Hollywood star Hugh Jackman has revealed that he had never lifted weights in his life before starring in the “X-Men” series as Wolverine.

The 48-year-old actor, who will make his outing as the adamantium-clawed mutant in “Logan”, said he used to make fun of those who went gymming, reported FemaleFirst.

“Before ‘X-Men’, I’d never lifted a weight in my life. I used to work at a gym and I’d make fun of all the guys in the weight room. I thought the way they’d look in the mirror for two hours a day was ridiculous,” Jackman said.

The actor had been on a tough diet and following a rigorous workout regime for 17 years now after taking up the role with the Marvel franchise.

Jackman adds his wife Deborah-Lee Furness is glad he is done and dusted with the role as she did not like him looking better than her.
