BigBang's TOP hospitalised after drug over dose, currently in ICU

Renowned Korean singer TOP of the popular BigBang group was rushed to hospital on Tuesday after he was found unconscious post a suspected drug overdose.

According to the media reports, TOP had overdosed on prescription tranquilisers that he had taken on Monday evening. While he was taken to the hospital soon, the singer has been admitted in ICU.

The media reports suggest that is it was the highly strong dose of medication that made TOP loose his consciousness.

“T.O.P suffered from panic disorder, depression, and insomnia.  He’s taken prescribed anti-depression medicine for a long time.  It’s likely he’s taken the same meds this time as well,” reports stated

Interestingly, the Korean singer was hospitalised just a day after TOP was indicted on charges of smoking marijuana and transferred out of Gangnam Police Station, where he had been serving as a conscripted policeman.

Notably, the BigBang singer has been accused of smoking banned substances four times in October 2016.

T.O.P, whose real name is Choi Seung-hyun, is famous in the K-pop world as one-fifth of BIGBANG, a South Korean boy band whose members are labelled as the “Kings of K-pop”.
