Christopher Nolan’s’ long waited Tenet trailer is out and all we can say is, is it is very Christopher Nolanish. Without giving out too much apart from the fact that it is an espionage movie with John David Washington possibly playing the role of a ‘tenet’, a codeword of sorts as he sets out on a mission to prevent Third world war, the trailer swings from a Mission Impossible-like stunts to Inception-like mind trick.

With Nolan's trademark jaw-dropping visuals and extravagant action sequences making excellent use of the large canvas, the trailer also has glimpses of Robert Pattinson, Dimple Kapadia, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson appearing for brief seconds.
Though the plot details have kept under wraps by the studio Warner Bros, Nolan said is an espionage thriller that spans several countries.
"We're jumping off from the point of view of an espionage film, but we're going to a number of different places. We're crossing a few different genres in a hopefully exciting and fresh way," Nolan told Entertainment Weekly.
Tenet releases on July 17th, 2020.
