Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson, who were released from the Australian hospital on March 16 after recovering from COVID-19 have arrived back home in Los Angeles.

Although the actor has not posted any social media update about his return to the country but was spotted stretching down, clicking pictures and doing a celebration dance with wife Rita Wilson before entering the airport terminal at Australia. The actor couple then were flown to Los Angeles by private jet. After reaching the United States, the couple was seen driving together in a Range Rover with Hanks behind the wheels as they returned to their home.

Hanks and Wilson, revealed earlier this month they had tested positive for coronavirus. They were in Australia, Gold Coast for the pre-production of Biz Lurhmann’s Elvis Presley film. After getting a release from hospital he tweeted this week that they were both feeling better and thanked their Australian carers and urging their fans to follow the advice of experts on avoiding the disease before jetting back home.

Hanks shared multiple updates on Twitter during the ordeal.

“Sheltering in place works like this: You don’t give it to anyone – You don’t get it from anyone. Common sense, no?” Hanks wrote.

Hanks was believed to have returned to the penthouse apartment in the Gold Coast where the couple had been staying while he worked on the Lurhmann film, in which he was due to portray Elvis’ long-time manager, Colonel Tom Parker.
