Daniel Craig’s upcoming James Bond might now even require an even longer waiting. According to The Sun, the James Bond star, who is known for getting his hands dirty by doing his own stunts injured his ankle while filming an action sequence in Jamaica. The reports add that Craig slipped and fell while running, and the subsequent ankle injury resulted in him being flown to the US for X-rays. Following his injury, the filming scheduled to take place at Pinewood studios in London has been postponed.

“He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly,” the source said. “He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle’’ Variety quoted as per a source by a newspaper.

This isn’t the first time, the Bond star has injured himself while on a Bond shoot. In 2006, Craig had his two teeth knocked out while filming Casino Royale then in 2008 he sliced off a fingertip while on the sets of Quantum of Solace.  Gary Powell, chief stunt coordinator for Bond films Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale, told The Guardian in 2008, "Daniel puts the work in, even if it's something he's not keen on." For instance, Craig is not "a lover of heights," but in Quantum of Solace he jumped out of a three-story window onto moving bus according to Powell.

Cary Joji Fukunaga, who is directing the bond movie following director Danby Boyle’s exit over creative differences with producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson is yet to reveal its title. Bond 25 stars Oscar-winner Rami Malek as the villain. Other new additions include Ana De Armas, Lashana Lynch, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen, and Dali Benssalah; returning cast members include Lea Seydoux, Jeffrey Wright, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Naomi Harris, and Ralph Fiennes.
