CONFIRMED! Deepika Padukone to be a part of Vin Diesel's 'xXx 4'

Deepika Padukone won millions of hearts across the world with her Hollywood debut 'xXx: Return of Xander Cage', wherein she essayed the role of Serena Unger. Her performance has not just won her accolade, but the actress has also bagged the role in the upcoming sequel of the movie. According to the media reports, Deepika will reprise her role in the fourth instalment of the much popular 'xXx' series starring Vin Diesel.

The news was confirmed by filmmaker D.J Caruso after a fan inquired about Deepika's participation in 'xXx 4' on micro-blogging site Twitter. A fan asked Caruso, “Serena Unger Aka Deepika is there in #xXx4?”. To this the director replied affirmatively. In fact, he also revealed that the entire 'xXx' team will be meeting up next week to decide on the working schedules for the movie.

Currently, Deepika Padukone is busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period drama 'Padmavati' wherein she'll play the titular role. Also starring Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in key roles, the movie is slated to release on November 17 this year.
