Demi Lovato feels proud of Miley Cyrus for quitting drugs

Miley Cyrus has recently quit drugs. Her friend Demi Lovato says she is extremely proud of her for quitting drugs and going sober.

The 24-year-old songstress feels that the way the ‘Malibu’ singer has taken charge of her life and tackled issues related to her mental health, she has set an example for other celebrities, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“I am really proud of Miley. I think that it helps people to know that there are people in the spotlight that have challenges, that are faced with very stressful lives.

“I think it helps to know that recovery is possible and it’s something that is so important to certain people like myself,” says Lovato.

The “Confident” singer recently celebrated the five-year anniversary of her own sobriety, following drug and alcohol issues.

Previously, Lovato has battled with eating problems and bipolar disorder too.
